The paper 2 is partly subjective and partly objective. It consists of two sections, General Awareness and Essay Writing. The General Awareness section had 30 questions. The duration of this section is 40 minutes, 20 minutes for each section.

4.            The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.

Common Admission Test, (CAT 2013), Indian Institutes of Management, (IIMs)

CAT 2013 or Common Admission Test is the main entrance exam for MBA aspirants to get admission in Top B-Schools of India like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta amongst many others. CAT 2013 will be conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to various levels of management courses like MBA, PGDM etc.
Apart from the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, and Kozhikode, CAT 2013 is also a mandatory entrance examination for several other leading management institutes like Kirloskar Institute of Management, S.P. Jain Institute and few others.
Every year more than two lakh students appear for CAT and for CAT 2013, the number is expected to touch around 2.25 Lakh. The competition between CAT aspirants is very tough for IIMs and the other reputed institutes.
CAT aspirants often start preparing for CAT almost one year in advance and prepare themselves by joining various specialized coaching institutes like Career Launcher, TIME, IMS etc.
A CAT 2013 aspirant must hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category) from any recognized University of India. If the aspirant is in the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification and have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results, he/she can also apply.

Common Admission Test (CAT 2013) will have only 2 sections
·         Quantitative Ability (QA) & Data Interpretation (DI)
·         Verbal Ability (VA) & Logical Reasoning (LR)
Both the sections will be implemented sequentially with separate time limits.
CAT 2013 will be 140 minutes long. You will get 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer. Once the time ends for the first section, you will have to move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back. So you should review your answers for the 1st section, within the first 70 minutes.
A 15-minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the test, and candidates are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination. So including the duration of the tutorial, the total duration of CAT 2013 will be two hours and thirty five minutes.
Access a practice test that has been provided to offer the candidates a feel of the timed sections, as well as navigation and functionality of the actual test. You are advised to go through this practice test carefully to familiarise yourself with the screens, layout, and navigation of CAT 2013.
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.
CAT 2013 Application Form
A CAT aspirant has to purchase CAT 2013 voucher from any of the branches of Axis Bank between 29 July – 24 September 2013.
Note: You can only buy one CAT 2013 Voucher irrespective of the number of B-schools you are applying to.
After purchasing the CAT 2013 Voucher, you must log on to the website www.catiim.in to register for CAT 2013. You can register and schedule for the CAT 2013 from 29 July – 26 September 2013.

The CAT 2013 test fees is Rs.1600 for general candidates and Rs.800 for SC and ST candidates.

Some cities may have more than 1 test centres. You can choose any 1 centre according to your convenience. However, IIMs reserve the right to change or cancel any test venue / centre and / or change the test window time and dates at their own discretion.

Staff Selection Commission Job Test 2013



Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk for which 12th Standard Pass or equivalent is the minimum qualification.
18-27 years as on 01.08.2013 (i.e. he/she must have born not earlier than 02.08.1986 and not later than 01.08.1995)
Educational Qualification
12th Standard pass or equivalent or higher examination from a recognized Board or University.
Application Fee: Rupees One Hundred Only(s 100.00)
The candidates submitting Paper application should pay the fee by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)"only. CRFS are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India in the form of challan or through SBI Net Banking. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt, of India, invites applications from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarship under the following two Scholarship Schemes:-
1.     Scholarship Scheme (Trust Fund):-
Ø       Under this scheme, 1500 Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for degree and post graduate level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions in India.
Ø       30% scholarships will be reserved for girls, which will be transferable to- male students in case of non­availability of female candidates.
Ø       Applicants may apply at any time in academic year for scholarship under this scheme. Scholarships will be awarded quarterly basis for the applications received in preceding quarter under this scheme, an advance copy of application should also be submitted online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) by the candidate.
Ø       Reimbursement of Non-Refundable fees restricted to the limit of fee of similar courses in Government/ Government - aided institutions. Maintenance allowance will be paid to the students for 10 months @ Rs. 2500/- per month for Professional Graduate Courses^nd Rs. 3000/- per month for professional Post-Graduate Courses in one academic year.
Ø       Books/Stationery allowance will be paid to students pursuing Professional Graduate Courses @ Rs. 6000/- per annum and Rs. 10,000/- per annum for pursuing Professional Post-Graduate Courses.
Ø       Differently-abled students in addition will be provided financial assistance for purchase of aids & appliances (only once during life time).
Ø       Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs. 25,000/- (Rs. 3.00 Lakh p.a.) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.
Ø       A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.
2.     Scholarship Scheme (National Fund):-
Ø       Under this scheme, 500 Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualifications.
Ø       Applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) for scholarship from 01.07.2013 to 31.08.2013 and scholarship shall be awarded once in a academic year under this scheme.
Ø       Scholarship of Rs. 1000/- p.m. for hostellers and Rs. 700/- p.m. for day scholars studying in professional courses at graduation and above level, and Rs. 700/- p.m. for hostellers and Rs. 400/-p.m. for day scholars pursuing Diploma/Certificate level professional courses. Course fee reimbursed upto celling of Rs. 10,000/- per year.
Ø       Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/deaf graduate and post­graduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students.
Ø       Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be .more than Rs. 15,000/- (Rs. 1.80 Lakh p.a.) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.
Ø       Scholarship holder under this scheme will not concurrently hold any other scholarship/stipend.

National Board of Examinations FMGE September - 2013 SCREENING TEST

As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, an Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical. Institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council on or after shall have to qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Examination (Screening Test).
(The next session of the FMG Exam shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations on Sunday the 29th September, 2013 at New Delhi.

AICTE conducts National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE

COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE PUBLIC NOTICE ON BARCH COURSE

The Council of Architecture (COA) prescribes and regulates Standards of Architectural Education and Profession of an architect under the Architects Act, 1972 (A Special Central Act) and the respective Rules, Regulations and Norms framed there under.
It is hereby brought to the notice of all concerned that as per the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 1983, duly approved by Central Government, placed before both Houses of Parliament, the eligibility for admission to BArch Course is as under:
No candidate with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subject of examination at the 10+2 level and also pass an Aptitude Test.
The Council has recently noticed that the public notice issued for JEE conducted by CBSE and in several other entrance exams, for admission to BArch. Course, different eligibility has been prescribed in violations of the Council's Regulations and applications are sought even for Lateral Admission in B.Arch. Course. Lateral Admission is strictly not allowed under the said Regulations. The matter has also been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt of India vide Council's letters dated 07.06.2013 and 05.07.2013,
In view of the above, Council hereby informs all concerned persons/authorities to abide by the eligibility prescribed under the Council's Regulations while seeking and making admissions to B.Arch. Course. Any person admitted in contravention of the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 1983, will not be eligible for registration as an Architect under the Architects Act 1972. The registration as an Architect with the Council is mandatory for using the title and style of architect for practicing the profession of an Architect and for employment in Govt. services, etc. for architectural posts.
The Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in W P (C) No. 2669 of 2005, Ms. Sharmistha S Das vs Union India (MHRD) & Ors, had upheld the eligibility prescribed by COA. Also Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in W.P. No. 11774 of 2003 and W.P. No. 14245 of 2004 upheld the eligibility of Council and quashed the lateral admission scheme of AICTE for BArch Course. The Hon'ble Bombay High Court in Writ Petition No. 3798 of 2000 and Hon'ble Madras High Court in W.P. Nos. 8806 and 9707 of 2003 also upheld the eligibility prescribed under the Architects Act. 1972 and Regulations framed there under.

For all the full time programs candidates who are appearing for the final examination are eligible to apply (Provisional admission subject to clearing the final examination in first attempt and in the stipulated duration with 50 % aggregate marks) and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
For all the Full Time programs, candidates with two and more years of post-qualification, work experience will be preferred.
At the time of admission, the candidate should have cleared all the trimesters / semesters of the Program. No examination of any previous Semester / Trimester to the final Semester / Trimester examination be held subsequent to the final Semester/ Trimester examination. No result of any previous Semester / Trimester examination to the final Semester / Trimester examination be declared subsequent to the declaration of the result or the final Semester / Trimester examination.
Those candidates who have passed, or, have appeared for graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained.
It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission at NMIMS.
For appearing for NMAT online application has to be duly submitted and payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time
